Who We Are

The Chick Rosnick Boxing Club, Inc., is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit in Stratford dedicated to guiding at-risk children in the area toward non-violent conflict solutions and instilling in them discipline, good character, and the skillset necessary to become responsible, productive members of society; and of course, the whole spectrum of preparing boxers, from novice to champion, for amateur—and even professional—competition.

The Boxing Club

Harold “Hal” Rosnick and his son, Michael Rosnick, created the boxing club in memory of their father and grandfather, Hyman “Chick” Rosnick, a lifelong boxing enthusiast, five-sport athlete, coach, and educator. Located at 360 Sniffens Lane, Stratford, the club is housed in a registered gym run by Coach Martin Chisholm, a former marine, tactical trainer, martial artist, and youth worker.

General admission for the Summer Night Boxing Event, with seating in the bleachers, is $20

Proceeds from the event will support the mission of the club, as well as help it continue its efforts in anti-bullying advocacy.

Ringside seats at a VIP table are available for $36, which includes entrance and a $10 coupon for selections from the concession stand. Hamburgers, hotdogs, French fries, and other favorites will be featured. The cost for a table of 10 is $360.

Proceeds from this evening support our mission: instilling in youth the discipline, good character, and skillset necessary to become responsible, productive members of society; mentoring at-risk children; and, of course, the whole spectrum of preparing boxers, from novice to champion, for amateur—and even professional—competition.

Your donation helps us continue our acclaimed anti-bullying campaign. Our work in guiding kids toward nonviolent conflict solutions has led to recognition on the state level! In a formal ceremony at the Capitol in January, the State of Connecticut’s Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Commission, along with Senator Richard Blumenthal and Governor Ned Lamont, honored us with the Champion for Justice and Nonviolence Award and the Youth Vanguard Nonviolence Award .
